The Netherlands has a progressive tax scale. The amount of tax is proportional to income.

You must file your annual income tax return by the 1st of May every year

It can be completed and submitted online or through the official software application. If for some reason you fail to submit your tax return on time, you can request a six-month extension, after which you are required to report your income.

Entrepreneurs and companies are required to file reports quarterly or monthly - this depends on the turnover of the business

The Tax Administration itself determines how often a newly established entity must file its reports. The Tax office sends notification letters about the number of reports due. At the end of the year the company must prepare a financial statement, on the basis of which an annual corporate income tax return is submitted. The annual financial statement is filed with Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK).
Highly skilled migrants are entitled to a 30% tax break, which allows them to save 30% of income over five years, in accordance with the new amendments.
